My Account

In the Login area, choose ‘Forgot password?’. To reset your password, you need to answer the security question that you chose when you registered. You will then receive a new password via SMS which you can use to log in on a single-use basis. You can then set a new password.

To change your password, open the ‘My profile’ menu item (top left), then select ‘Settings’ and ‘Change password’.

To change your PIN or set a new PIN, go to ‘My profile’ (top left), then select ‘Settings’ and ‘Change PIN’. Enter your password or use your Touch ID for unlocking the screen. Now set a new PIN.

You can open your transaction history using a button in the top right of the boon. app. You can filter for specific periods of time. You can also send transaction details by email or SMS.

You can top up your boon. account via

  • credit card or Faster Payments (for the UK)
  • credit card or Wiretransfer (for France, Ireland, Italy and Spain)
  • credit card (for Switzerland)

Please note that it is not possible to top up using a prepaid card.

The advantage of using a credit card is that the funds will be available immediately, whereas in the case of Faster Payments, it can take up to two hours for the funds to be available. For Wiretransfer it can take up to two working days. To top up your boon. account by credit card, you need to enter your details manually or scan your card. If you have not yet registered your card for 3D Secure, we recommend doing this in advance via your bank’s website. For security reasons, you can only use credit cards that support 3D Secure to top up your boon. account.

Please note that you need to be a boon. PLUS user to receive Faster Payment transactions from third parties. This is a requirement of our partner MasterCard. As a boon. BASIC user the recipient name must be the same as the name of the boon. account user. Third Party Services like Currency Cloud and Transferwise are not supported.

3D Secure is a security standard used for credit card transactions. This authentication procedure ensures that the legal card holder and the legal retailer are the participants in a transaction. It is an effective means of reducing the risk of fraud. If a credit card holder has registered with the 3D Secure process via one of the registration methods, they will see an entry page belonging to their bank during the top up process, in which they will need to enter their password. The payment is only processed if they enter the correct password, which is known exclusively by the credit card holder and their bank.

Yes, but as soon as you register a credit card, you can also set up automatic top ups. Once you have done this, boon. will be topped up to a specified amount as soon as your balance falls below a specified threshold.

Open the boon. app and check your current balance. If you are still experiencing problems making a payment, please contact our service team.

If your boon. Card has been locked for Transport for London, you can unlock it as follows:

With boon., changing your iPhone or iPad is not an issue, as identification is carried out based on your mobile number. Once you have installed boon. on your new iPhone or iPad (iOS 9 or later), you can log in with your existing login details. You can then add your virtual boon. prepaid card to Apple Wallet.

If you change your mobile number, you can easily change your username (which for boon. is your telephone number) by contacting our service team.

Reserved amounts are amounts that have been ‘set aside’ by the retailer, but have not yet been deducted. You won’t usually see these amounts, but sometimes it can take a long time for a transaction to be completed.

  • You can close your boon. account in writing at any time via email or post. Contact our service team to do so. In order to close your account, please provide the following information:

    • Your account number (you will find this in the boon. app under ‘Manual top up’, ‘top up by Faster Payments’)
    • The answer to your security question
    • Your mobile phone number

Once an account has been closed, it cannot be reopened.

It can take several minutes for promotional offers (e.g. a cashback) to appear in the app.

Safety

Payments are very secure. The retailer does not see your bank details or the credit card details that you have used to top up your boon. account. This also applies to the details associated with your boon. prepaid credit card, on top of which you also have to press the Touch ID fingerprint sensor every time you pay with your iPhone or iPad.

When you register, a prepaid account is set up in the background. Therefore, money is not stored on your device as it is in chip cards or cash cards.

PIN and Touch ID provide the first line of defence, however if you lose your device or if it is stolen, you should contact the service team emergency hotline (00800 94 73 22 70) as soon as possible to disable your boon. account. You can use the Find My iPhone feature to disable Apple Pay via Lost Mode.
